How I lost 38 lbs. with Insanity and Shakeology

I remember in the beginning of this year I weighed 236 lbs. I was depressed, confused, and tired.  I put forth much effort to lose my weight and fortunately, when I began Insanity in January, I’d peeled off 10 lbs. Unfortunately, I hurt my back and was unable to continue with my workouts as I’d planned and began again in March when I made my first video.

In the beginning, I was on a roll. I’d even showed a video where you can see a visible difference in only 22 days with the program. But suddenly, something changed. My fire wasn’t as fueled as it was before, my dedication didn’t match my desire, and before I knew it, I’d stopped working out, or only working out sometimes and I wasn’t  giving myself or the program it’s just due. I knew this, and couldn’t live with the idea of half stepping on anything. So for a while…I completely stopped.

When I’d stopped, I put on some of the weight I’d lost. :( . I even thought a change of program would help, so  I ordered Insanity: The Asylum.  It’s a 30 Day program and I think I only lasted about 12 days…lol. It was very hard for me at the time and was not totally ready. I found myself looking for pre and post workout formulas to keep from feeling so sore.  I’d made a few purchases from GNC….but realized I already had something that can help me for pre and post workouts.

Shakeology….

In mid August, I decided to start my own personal Insanity/Shakeology challenge. I began drinking a glass of Chocolate Shakeology mixed with Skim or Almond Milk and had more energy than ever! I was able to push harder, do more reps, and sustain more activity before having to stop! I didn’t feel sore every day like I did before, and times when I did, I’d drank another and felt like I could go another round.  The weight loss and muscle gains were incredible.  So, after 10 weeks (I gave myself an extra week in round 1) in Insanity, I’d lost 28 lbs, with the 10 lbs I lost earlier this year, I have a combined total loss of 38 lbs!!!!

With this new found regimen, I’m going to give myself another round to lose my remaining 38 lbs. It will still consist of Insanity and Shakeology, but this time, I’m adding a month 3 to my regimen with the Asylum. I’m determined to defeat it. I can’t live with the idea of how it punked me earlier this year so Asylum’s butt is MINE! LOL.

Long ago, I took a step to help change the world, but realized I had to take some time and take care of me. I apologize for disappearing for so long. I realized then, and even moreso now, no matter what we’re going through, somebody somewhere needs our help and I will never allow my shortcomings to take me away from you all again. We are all here to help, support, and motivate each other. And if you ever find yourself wanting to quit, have quit, and don’t believe you can do it,  I’m here to tell you….GET BACK UP AGAIN! No matter how many times you fall, GET BACK UP AGAIN. It’ not too late, it’s never too late. I’m not speaking from the mountain top; I’ve fallen into the valley, and am still climbing up the rough side just like anyone in this journey.  I solicit your prayers and support to keep me and everyone trying to live a healthier lifestyle pushing through. It’s not easy, but definitely worth it. Failure strength pain motivation.
